How does this happen??

I finished this gallery last night, uploaded my favorites here to share on the blog, and waited---so I could post at a more decent time than 12:15 in the morning.

Somehow, though, somehow it is now creeping towards midnight, and I am just now sitting down to post. Goodness gracious.

But, I love this session too much to wait another day. Super sweet new parents + the best head of hair I've seen on a baby in a long time + lots of light and shadow play = a definite favorite of mine from last month.

Enjoy this baby boy. He is such a doll.

Theo and Liam's sweet mama is an instructor for the fitness program I am a part of, and she always leads with such energy, encouragement, and kindness. After I met with her family for photos, I left convinced that she leads her boys in the exact same way. The exhaustion I sometimes feel trying to keep up with my one boy?? Doesn't even phase her, and she has two. She and her husband clearly value experiences with their sons over anything else, and they have SUCH fun together. I was truly just a bystander here...mom and dad kept them entertained and laughing the whole time. It was a joy to photograph their family and celebrate their youngest turning one.

I got to meet this sweet boy with incredible dimples in May, when I photographed his adoption day at the courthouse. A few weeks later we met again for some milestone photos outside, and he was such a champ.

Despite meeting at 7:30 in the morning, the Texas heat and humidity and mosquitos were out of control, and all the adults were slappin' bugs and sweating buckets. BUT, you can't tell can you??

It really was such fun. Photographing this age is always a hoot, and Everett didn't disappoint. He's got a big smile and and an even bigger personality and I am just thrilled to pieces to know him, his family, and their story.
