Aurora | Fort Worth Birth Photography

What a day.

What a beautiful, happy-tears-filled kind of day this was.

This new mama and daddy were so connected to each other, to family around them (near and far), and most of all to their new baby girl. It was a joyous, joyous thing to be a part of.

Watching them meet baby Aurora was obviously the highlight, but a close second was witnessing Alexandra calling her mom soon after her brand new baby girl was placed on her chest. You see, Alexandra is from Australia, and Australia is where her mother still resides. I remember how important it was for me for my parents to be there when my daughter was born, so I can only imagine the emotions this brand new mama was feeling as she got to introduce Aurora to her grandmother.

About halfway through you can see them on the phone, and it just gets me every time. I hope these images make them smile and cry and laugh and remember. These kind of days are worth that!

The Fearless Foursome (now Five) | Fort Worth Lifestyle Photography

This family....they truly are fearless. When it comes to stepping out in faith, taking risks, not becoming too attached to "stuff," putting family and dreams first, etc., they are doing it.

If you don't know their story or what they do, I highly recommend you check out their website, as I have gushed over them enough in various platforms. By a connection of fate and circumstance they helped us build our (totally unplanned and unprepared for) home, and have become both personal and professional friends of ours.

I met with them a few months back to photograph their historic home that they remodeled from the inside out...the Fairmount Foursquare. I dedicatedly followed their progress on social media, and had such fun capturing them, and this gorgeous dwelling, once they were settled and moved in. I tell you, they are freakishly talented when it comes to eyes for detail. Every. single. corner of their homes (past ones included) is perfectly, thoughtfully designed, and it is such a neat creative outlet for me to pause babies for a bit to photograph these gorgeous little still lifes.

This home is now being occupied and loved on by a new family, as the High Street Homes family has expanded by one and is currently in the process of finalizing their newest personal project, a home back out in the country. Needless to say, I am on pins and needles to see it.
