Bluebonnets | Fort Worth Family Photography

This little angel-face and her mama have been my "guinea pigs" for some time now. They have to be two of the most laid-back ladies I know...always up to let me experiment. See: this post. I only shoot outdoors a small percentage of the time, and I knew I wasn't going to be offering bluebonnet sessions this year. HowEVER, being a Texas girl, I am a little obsessed with these little blue and white buds.

So, planning for possible future sessions, and wanting to get some photos of my own family without having to use a remote, I mentioned the idea to Grace and we set a (play)date.

I already bragged a little on the two girls in this family, but dad is pretty great too. My husband always enjoys talking with him, and he is just as easy-going and friendly as his wife and daughter. It was a breeze shooting these, to say the least.

This last one might be my favorite:

And here is our little circus. Having another family there with us meant I got a picture with me IN IT! Kind of a rarity. grace peek 15

What do you think? Bluebonnet sessions worth offering next year?? Who can come make this child smile?

Hudson | Fort Worth Child Photography

Hudson is two! And every bit as adorable and rambunctious and personality-filled as you would expect. Laughed myself silly chasing him around, and mentally prepared myself for what life would be like with our daughter in a few months. :) This little guy's parents are friends of ours, and I am so glad we were able to carve out some time for these precious pictures while they were here for a few days!

As you can see, Hudson alternated between huge smiles/fits of laughter and strong-willed stares, and I loved every minute of it.

Air Show

I took so many pictures yesterday; harsh sun and a half-sick kiddo aside. We had such a wonderful time watching the Blue Angels....we didnt do anything else at the Air Power Expo (see: sick-kiddo) but I'm just proud of us for finally making it to one.

I mentioned on IG yesterday that I had been wanting to take our seven-year-old since he was, oh about 3. And he had sounded really excited about it when I mentioned it it the day before. His Aunt Donna was even here to go with us! But, he was a little more subdued than I expected...I'm sure due to the fact that he didn't feel great. We're already planning to attend the one in the fall, so hopefully he will be his normal wild and interested-in-everything self. :)

Our 19mo old though? Opposite of subdued. She was exuberant. COMPLETELY thrilled by those planes, and we all had a heck of a time watching her.

This was her expression every time the planes disappeared. "Where'd they go??"
